Following on from a successful Phase 1 improvement to the main kitchen at Darlinghurst Primary School, we were instructed to undertake Phase 2 during the Easter Break of 2015. Works comprised of asbestos removals, the installation of a new servery, replacement of kitchen sinks and dishwashers, installtion of a new preparation area and a new electric roller shutter. Also included were adjustments to the suspended ceiling and LED lighting and extending the vinyl flooring. We had just 2 weeks to complete all of this and all our staff had to work every day of the Easter Weekend in order to acheive the required handover date. The project completed on time and slightly over budget due to changes made by Structural Engineers.
We were awarded the contract to supply and install a mezzanine floor within the old sports hall at Hamstel Infants and Primary School. The contract was extremely challenging as the nearest delivery and collection point was some 350 meters away from the working area. The mezzanine installation was also deep in the centre of the school making it difficult to get materials and spoil in and out of the school. The first part of the contract was to install foundation pads to support the new structure. This was undertaken after school between the hours of 4pm and midnight as the school was still in term. The only way this project could be undertaken was to use bulk bags on pallets, and for all materials/spoil to be transported via fork lift outside and electric pallet trucks inside. The mezzanine was installed during the half term and the remander of the works were carried out in term time. The project duration was 12 weeks from start to finish and works included new foundation pads, installation of a double mezzanine floor, new suspended ceilings, rewiring of light and power circuits, parquet floor reinstatements, formation of new satff room and vinyl safety flooring. We recieved an extremely favourable reference from the Head Teacher.
We were contracted by the Head Teacher to convert an old redundant kitchen into a training room. There was a significant amount of asbestos containing materials which had to be removed prior to our conversion works. The project comprised of removing brick walls, altering heating services, rewiring and replumbing. We also needed to insulate the roof void prior to installing a new suspended ceiling with LED lighting panels. Total project duration 7 weeks.
Shortlisted and awarded the contract to redecorate 55 classsrooms and the main theatre hall, we undertook the work within 5 weeks and on budget. We trialed the new Dulux High Performance Diamond Matt Range and to date have received no call backs.
Our first contract with Basildon Hospital, we had to fully refurbish a student accomodation wing. This comprised of forming new shower areas, a new kitchen and a total refurbishment of 6 student rooms. We acheived this on budget and handed back one week early.
Our client selected us to provide a new generator base and screening at The Marie Curie Hospice in Hamsted, London. Obviously this was a sensitive contract and we had to undertake every asspect with thought and consideration for the patients. This was acheived and again this project was delivered on time and to budget.
Following on from an arson attack, we were instructed to dismantle the entire building, which was completely destroyed by fire. We acheived in excess of 85% recycling.
Darlinghurst School instructed us to undertake an extension to there existing buildings to provide an after school area. There were initial concerns from the structural engineers as to the additional loads on the existing building. We resolved that problem and completed this project from start to finish in 10 weeks. We were given a favourable reference from the school Site Manager. On time. On budget.
Edwards Hall School in Eastwood contacted us to undertake a full refurbishment of two classrooms to form a conference area. The works included demolition of the existing toilet block, formation of cupboards, new suspended ceilings and lighting, additional heating and a retractable acoustic wall. The project duration was 8 weeks and completed within that time and within the agreed budget. The Headmaster of the school gave us a favourable reference.
